Regional instrument retailer Russo Music will formally open the doors to its new Philly location later this month, after teasing the shop’s homey interior and ultra-convenient next-door-to-Union-Transfer location through a series of video sessions with artists like Frances Quinlan, Anika Pyle, and Maxwell Stern.

Grand Opening day is set from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 18th, and in addition to free guitar re-strings and snare drum re-heads while supplies last, Russo is also running a charity raffle to support three local music-minded nonprofits.

Visitors to the store can support Girls Rock Philly, Rock to the Future, and Beyond The Bars — three organizations who work in music, education, community-building, and centering marginalized individuals — by purchasing raffle tickets, and in the process get a chance to win a variety of prize packs featuring guitars, effect pedals, synthesizers, concert tickets and more.
