Porchestfest is back in Lambertville, NJ on October 2nd. The DIY music festival, which has spread to over 100 cities including Philadelphia, features musicians of all kinds performing from their porches in a participating neighborhood. 2021 marks Lambertville’s second year hosting the festival in their beautiful neighborhood of historic streets and Victorian architecture.

Lambertville Porchfest’s mission is “to build, deepen and celebrate connections within our community by creating a platform for sharing the joys of live music.” The event starts at noon and concludes with a city-wide dance party at Ely Park from 6 to 9 p.m. You can find a map of “venues” and a list of scheduled artists — including soul-pop singer-songwriter CLOVER and indie folk artist Christina Ward (both in the 3 p.m. hour) and classical guitar pieces by Chris Buccari (in the 4 p.m. hour) — at Lambertville Porchest’s website here.

Perhaps you’ve seen Porchfest occur in West Philadelphia. After a number of setbacks due to COVID-19 precautions, Porchfest Philly included 118 porches and 245 different artists playing live from their homes in June. Festival-goers can enjoy any of the performing acts by simply walking through the neighborhood and lingering at different porches. You can read about Philly’s 2021 porchfest and see a photo gallery by The Key’s Yoni Kroll here, then see the magic of Porchfest for yourself this Saturday in Lamberstville.
