When singer Jeremy Keys delivered lyrics about the need to keep on running in “Prefontaine,” it seemed to be a metaphor for facing the challenges life throws at you, trying your best to remain centered and undaunted through it all.

In the new music video for the single from Keys & the Never Before, it takes on a different — and seasonally apt — meaning: running though empty streets after dark as you’re being pursued by a shovel-wielding maniac.

With the assistance of director James O’Brien III, Keys full on embraces horror movie vibes from 80s and 90s classics: the energy is equal parts Halloween and Scream as he races through the sidewalks of Wynnewood and West Philly, encountering one obstacle after the next. Watch below, if you dare.
