Scenes from Ashnikko’s packed house at The Fillmore Philly

While Arlo Parks played to a packed house upstairs at The Foundry of the Fillmore Philly Wednesday night, the NC-born London-based rapper and singer Ashnikko played to a packed crowd of her own in the main hall of The Fillmore Philly.

Touring in support of her 2021 mixtape Demidevil, Ashnikko brought a theatrical flare to her performance. The stage was decked out in a Pan’s Labyrinth-ish tangle of eyeballs and tentacles, harsh strobes and moody spotlights lit the macabre scene, and Ashnikko danced, stretched, body-slammed and generally threw herself into the short but impactful set.
