Tangled Up's "Infinite Haircut" is a stirring mortality jam - WXPN | Vinyl At Heart

Delaware-rooted, Philly based band Tangled Up is releasing a new EP this winter on Philly punk label Knife Hits Records, and this week they rolled out a teaser of it with the snarling “Infinite Haircut.”

The song has a silly title but heavy content; its impressionistic lyrics allude to power and powerlessness, about being steamrollered and co-opted, and ultimately expiring at the end of a frustrating journey. In short, it’s a tense mortality jam in the spirit of Parquet Courts and Pissed Jeans.

“Infinite Haircut” is featured on the five-track EP Silk Embroidered Light, out digitally and on cassette February 18th via Knife Hits; pre-order the tape here and listen to the single below.
