The War On Drugs, Japanese Breakfast, Nothing, and Tierra Whack will rep Philly at Bonnaroo 2022
The lineup for Bonnaroo 2022 hit the internet this week, and as usual, it’s a spectrum of genres and eras, with a fair amount of Philly in the mix.
Taking place in Manchester, Tennessee from Thursday June 16th through Sunday the 19th, the festival features heavy shoegaze outfit Nothing in the mix on day one, The War on Drugs and Japanese Breakfast high on the bill on Friday, and futuristic rapper / singer Tierra Whack on Sunday. Additionally, the Los Angeles folk / jam band Mt. Joy, who has ties to the Philly burbs, plays on Saturday.
The lineup is also peppered with XPN favorites throughout the week: Thursday features The Weather Station on Thursday; Friday includes Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Lord Huron, King Gizzard and The Wizard Lizard, and Arlo Parks; Saturday finds Billy Strings, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and Femi Kuti and the Positive Force in the mix; and Sunday is headlined by Stevie Nicks, with Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Herbie Hancock, and Tash Sultana also performing.
