Veteran indie rockers Spoon have been teasing their latest LP Lucifer on the Sofa since late last year, and as the release date nears on the horizon — February 11th on Matador Records — we got a couple pieces of news around it.

First, another new song, the groovy rocker “Wild,” which you can watch the music video for below. More importantly, we have the band’s spring tour dates, which includes an April 15th performance at The Fillmore Philadelphia — their first headlining Philly show in almost a decade.

Joining them on the bill is their labelmate Margaret Glaspy for an opening set, and tickets go on sale this Friday, January 14th at 10 a.m.

Another one of Spoon’s singles from Lucifer on the Sofa, “The Hardest Cut,” was Wendy Rollins’ pick for best song of 2021. She said it is “funky and bluesy and just when you are ready to hit the dance floor, Spoon throws a left hook, fuzzed out riff. It’s gonna get rowdy.” Just like the show’s going to be, we imagine.

Listen to both songs below and get details on the Fillmore gig at the XPN Concert Calendar.
