Watch Japanese Breakfast play “Slide Tackle” and talk Union Transfer on ‘The Late Late Show’
After a hugely successful 2021, Japanese Breakfast is still out there bringing Jubilee to the world, most recently with a stop on late-night television. Last night, Michelle Zauner and her bandmates appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden, performing “Slide Tackle” from their acclaimed 2021 album and chatting with the host about a number of topics — the Grammys, Coachella, and Union Transfer.
Corden asks Zauner about the story behind the recently-unveiled Michelle Zauner Coat Check Room at the Spring Garden Street Venue, so she tells the story about her days working there and how venue boss Sean Agnew oncer covered for her when she accidentally took a counterfeit $100 bill from a customer. Corden’s response: “I LOVE SEAN.”
Watch below. Japanese Breakfast plays Bonnaroo in June and Coachella in April.
