Ali Awan and Air Devi channel classic French pop in Les Flammes Obscures collab “Musée Des Erreurs”
Starting out 2022 on an incredibly vibey note, prolific Philly artists Ali Awan and Air Devi teamed up to collaborate with producer Les Flammes Obscures on a new single, “Musée Des Erreurs,” released on Friday.
Though both local artists make work that falls under the broader psychedelic umbrella, this tune deviates from both Ali’s driving indie rock and Devi’s synthy DIY productions. Instead, each finds their footing in French pop territory, the land of Air and Serge Gainsbourg, and as Awan sings of the titular museum of errors with grave mystique, Devi answers in a multi-lingual call-and-response.
