Orion Sun announces new EP ‘Getaway,’ shares breathtaking new single “dirty dancer”

Philly-rooted, NYC-based singer-songwriter Orion Sun returns this spring with a new collection of gorgeous music. The Getaway EP is out March 11th via Mom + Pop, and in addition to the stunning “Concrete,” released back in the fall, the project will feature a breathtaking new song called “dirty dancer.”

True to the project’s title, the song mixes themes of love and devotion with themes of escape: “You could leave with me now, we could both leave this town,” Orion Sun sings over sweeping arrangements of piano, retro-pop guitar, and beats. Elsewhere, she used the hook to affirm that the desire is rooted in true affection: “I just wanna be the one you groove with.”

An elegantly-choregraphed music video for “dirty dancer,” directed by Courtney Loo, finds Orion Sun and a troupe of dancers making moves in a living room and staircase of an ornate house, with vines and plants mixing with the decor.
