Ahead of their performance at Brooklyn Bowl Philly on June 9th, Great Time‘s Jill Ryan and singer-songwriter Kingsley Ibeneche stopped by WXPN Local to chat about their musical connection and play music by some of their creative inspirations in Philly and beyond.

The DJ sets featured a range of artists, from dreamy songwriters Nick Hakim and Jachary to Nigerian pop outfit Peacocks Guitar Band, Philly’s Mannequin Pussy, and the great Chaka Khan. In addition, we heard new singles from each of the selectors, who also discussed how their musical paths have intertwined over the years.
