Besides Clairo’s recent success with the album Sling, you may know her from her humble roots covering songs on youtube and her viral hit “Pretty Girl”. But from her days singing to a webcam she has made it and is currently on a tour in Europe. In a special turn of events at her show in Milan, Italy, Clairo brought out Phoebe Bridgers to sing with her for the second half of her 2019 song “Bags”.

Regardless of this special guest the performance was great; her extensive touring band fills her sound out. What is heard on stage is almost exactly what you hear on the record – but the ending saxophone solo when the acoustic guitarist tucked in the corner rips lines that would make John Coletrane smile. Recorded from a fan’s cell phone, it is hard to hear at times, but it’s Phoebe Bridgers, so we can assume she hit every note and harmony perfectly!

Besides these two being some of the biggest names in indie rock right now their collaboration on this track about first experiences with a woman is fitting for two bi-women to be singing together. This could have been their idea behind Bridgers doing this duet or just it is a fun song. Later that same evening, during Bridgers’ set, Clairo returned the favor by dishing out backing vocals on Bridgers’ 2020 hit song “I Know The End.”

Earlier this year Clairo was on her US tour but had to cancel her show at the Fillmore in Philly but good news came and it was rescheduled to July 22.
