Dehd is a band with a myriad of influences — like Cocteau Twins, Cate Le Bon, James Brown and Dolly Parton — but sounds distinctly different from all of them. The three-piece rock band from Chicago had a next-level moment with the release of their sophomore album, Flowers of Devotion, in 2020. In what their label, Fat Possum, calls a second breakthrough, their new album, Blue Skies, is filled with charm and charisma — thanks in part to singer Emily Kempf. We’re thrilled to welcome the band back to World Café for a mini-concert, starting with a performance of “Bad Love.”
