Catbite’s much-anticipated cover of Neon Trees’ hit “Everybody Talks” is out now with a delightful music video directed by Bob Sweeney. “Everybody Talks” comes from Catbite’s split EP with Mike Park titled WAVEBREAKER #2, available now.

“Dad, what are you listening to? Is this ska?” asks the young star of the “Everybody Talks” video. “I thought you hated ska,” she adds. “Well, I like Catbite,” he responds, mirroring the sentiments of presumably a large portion of Catbite’s fans who are new to the genre. The narrative continues to reveal “Ska Dad” has Catbite hidden in his garage, and they pop out to give a home concert of the new song scattered in locations around the home.

The video is playful, and Catbite’s cover is natural in their own style. They wear the ska badge proudly, making an even greater impression among a crowd of bands uneasy to assume a genre for their music.

Watch the video for “Everybody Talks” below. Catbite play XPoNential Music Festival on Saturday September 17th. Tickets are available at xpnfest.org.
