This week, country songwriter Margo Price released “Been To The Mountain,” a new single and music video heralding an exciting forthcoming chapter in her career. Along with the song, Price also debuted a new podcast Runaway Horses on Sonos Radio featuring guests Amythyst Kiah, Swamp Dogg, Bob Weir, Bettye LaVette, and Lucius. Price’s episode with Emmylou Harris is available now.

In the “Been To The Mountain” video, Margo Price encounters past versions of herself in a psychedelic trip. She’s been a queen and a drifter, a cowboy devil, a bride and a boxer, a child and a mother – and she’s stronger and wiser for it. “It is the perfect continuation of my search for freedom in my art and freedom in the modern age,” says Price in a press statement. Directed by Courtney Hoffman, the trippy visuals capture the trendy “pastel cowboy” look set against the scorching Los Angeles area desert.

The first episode of Price’s Sonos Radio podcast Runaway Horses is out now with a special on-camera, in-studio edition of the first episode with Emmylou Harris. “I’m calling the show ‘Runaway Horses’ because wild freedom is exactly what I crave from music – I just want a complete and total release,” says Price. “I hope that the conversations on this show help you feel a sense of freedom, too.”
