Welcome to her island! Caroline Polachek just announced a string of North American tour dates, which kicks off here in Philly at Franklin Music Hall this April. Polachek released her debut solo album Pang in 2019, and officially revealed its follow up — titled Desire, I Want To Turn Into You — last week.

The protracted run of singles leading up to this era dates all the way back to early 2021, when Polachek dropped the bubbly, bouncy, bodacious “Bunny Is A Rider.” Following up “Bunny,” we had the transcendent, choir-gilded “Billions,” “Sunset”’s flamenco fusion, and, most recently, “Welcome To My Island.” Each song and its Greek myth-infused visuals have created an entire world unto themselves, so there’s no telling where Polachek plans on transporting us next — only that we’re sure to be along for the ride.

Caroline Polachek kicks off her spring tour at Franklin Music Hall on Friday, April 14th of 2023 — also the release day of Desire, I Want To Turn Into You. George Clanton opens; more information can be found at WXPN’s Concerts and Events page.
