Philly-rooted singer and rapper Ivy Sole has once again joined forces with Camden singer-songwriter and dancer Kingsley Ibeneche on “Don’t Hide,” a dreamy new cut exclusive to the expanded “Director’s Cut” edition of their 2022 sophomore album Candid. The two previously collaborated on “Evaporate,” a 2021 single by producer Lee Clarke — who also worked with them on this song.

The chill tune gives equal billing to Ivy’s warm and melodic singing voice as well as the low-key command of rapped bars, and finds them and Ibeneche reflecting on melting down the barriers to intimacy: “I know theories bout the big bang and theories bout the low end / my theory is you can’t get enough of me ’cause I’m potent / and you’re debating on trusting me but just know this / I’m worth the wager if you betting then we growing.”

Below, watch the music video for the song, directed by Ivy and filmed by Wren Rene, showing impressionistic footage of both vocalists in nature. Support “Don’t Hide” on Bandcamp and keep an eye on Ivy Sole’s IG for further details on the Candid director’s cut.
