With a new batch of spring tour dates announced, long-running PA punk four-piece The Menzingers released a new single this week. Eagles fans got an early listen to “Bad Actors” in the fall, when it was featured in Chill Moody’s Gameday Poster Playlist project and played at The Linc, but now it’s available on all streaming services.

This song finds singer-guitarist Tom May taking lead and mixing hooky riffs with a Rancid-esque vocal on the verse with Blink-style harmonies on the refrain. Like many of The Menzingers’ best songs, it’s about memory and grief, and making it through tough times; in a press release, May says “It’s one of the last songs we wrote for the album [Hello Exile] and finished it in the studio. It’s an ode to a dear old friend that passed.”

Take a listen and check out The Menzingers’ tour dates below — they’ll be at Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center on May 13th — and support the single at Bandcamp.
