On their first release since the pandemic, Philly-born indie rockers Oldermost just shared the single “Maybe Philadelphia,” a slice of dreamy clean-tone guitars, mellow vocal harmonies, and brooding lyrics about rejecting complacency.

The band calls it an “anthem of discontent,” and that manifests in several ways — images of feeling directionless and stuck in the past, dreams of moving on and not feeling empowered to — and the band took it to heart, as half of them now call the west coast home.

As such, there are no immediate plans for any Oldermost live shows in Philly, but singer and songwriter Bradford Bucknum is also active in his duo project Plant Medicine; you can explore their music here and listen to “Maybe Philadelphia” below.
