Just about a year and a half ago, we were blown away by a concert double-header from L.A. pop trio MUNA; first they opened for Kacey Musgraves at Wells Fargo Center, and a couple days later they headlined The Englewood in Hummelstown. A self-titled record later — their third studio album, to be precise — and the band returned to Pennsylvania to headline the elegant theatrical space The Met Philly.

The Friday night show had them paired up with London rock duo Nova Twins, and playing a set focused on last year’s album — nine of its eleven songs made the cut — with a decent amount of attention paid to the band’s back-catalog releases About U (2017) and Saves The World (2019), with the show building to the bangers-only encore of “I Know A Place” and “Silk Chiffon.”

Below, check out photos of MUNA’s Met Philly gig by Ben Wong; the band plays XL Live in Harrisburg on Saturday, May 13th; tickets and more information can be found at WXPN’s Concerts and Events page.
