Tianna Esperanza released their debut album Terror back in February, and the eclectic Massachusetts-born artist brought its sleek grooves and emotive melodies to World Cafe Live for today’s Free at Noon. The breathtaking set rippled with funky rhythms and psychedelic textures as Esperanza — singing into a stylish ribbon microphone, sometimes dancing, sometimes strumming an acoustic guitar — evoked a spectrum of singers from Nina Simone to Y La Bamba.
