Our Featured Artist Throwback Thurday celebrations with a singer-songwriter icon, an artist whose pen and voice influenced countless others across generations – Joni Mitchell.
The timing is apt, with Mitchell’s hotly-anticipated return to the stage at The Gorge Amphitheater this Saturday for Brandi Carlile’s Joni Jam. Every hour, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., will begin with a block or two of Joni’s music — Hits and Misses alike — as well as other special spotlights. In the 9:00 hour, Kristen Kurtis will showcase covers of Joni Mitchell’s music. Mike Vasilikos is playing an album side from 1974’s Court and Spark album in the 1:00 hour. And in the 6:00 hour, Dan Reed will play an album side from Hejira.
