The North Texas-raised songwriter splits her time between those two places, and many of her new songs chronicle her experiences moving back and forth – whether its dating in one city, falling in love in another, or weathering the pandemic. (You may also know Williamson from her collaboration with Waxahatchee called Plains. They released an album last year called I Walked With You A Ways.)

Jess’ songs are warm and open, just like she is in conversation. She really does seem like someone who could help a 15-hour drive fly by.
