Neil Young is set to release Chrome Dreams on August 11th, showcasing tracks recorded from 1974 to 1976. What is being referred to as Young’s “lost” album is comprised of twelve songs that had originally been set to release in 1977, each of which with a celebrated backstory. For instance, the version of “Sedan Delivery” featured on the album is the original, prior to its appearance on Young’s 1979 album Rust Never Sleeps with Crazy Horse. The official Neil Young Archives Instagram page states that this release is “a long time coming,” which is undoubtedly echoed by Young fans all over the world.
In addition to the album, Young will be going on tour this July for the first time in years, playing a series of shows in LA before making his way through the west coast, stopping in other Californian cities, then heading to Oregon and Washington.
