An album of previously unreleased live recordings from Fleetwood Mac has been announced for release on September 8th. The new double album RUMOURS LIVE captures Fleetwood Mac in their prime, live at The Forum in Inglewood, CA on Aug. 29th, 1977. The live version of their timeless hit “Dreams” is available now on all streaming platforms.

Following the Feb. 4th, 1977 release of the historic album Rumours, Fleetwood Mac embarked on a multi-leg world tour. By the time they returned to California in August, the album was at the top of the Billboard 200, where it would stay for a total of 29 weeks throughout 1977. RUMOURS LIVE archives the first of their three nights playing The Forum, along with the enjoyment and excitement that was radiating from the venue.

During the show, the band would pull almost exclusively from their albums Fleetwood Mac (1975) and Rumours (1977). Seven of the 18 tracks come from the former, while ten are from the latter. The only track that strays from the band’s two most recent albums is “Oh Well (Pt. 1),” off of the 1969 album Then Play On. With nearly 90 minutes of previously unheard recordings, RUMOURS LIVE will be broken up into two physical albums. Vinyl and CD copies will be sold through Rhino, and will ship out upon the date of digital release. Additionally, a Walmart-exclusive crystal clear-vinyl will be available on the same date.

With a band as celebrated and published as Fleetwood Mac, it is special when new, previously unreleased recordings are revealed to the public. The sole track from this night’s recordings that was released prior to RUMOURS LIVE was their performance of “Gold Dust Woman,” which was included on Rhino’s 2021 expansion of Live: Deluxe Edition, where the 7-minute song appeared as a bonus track.

RUMOURS LIVE will be released on Sept. 8th, and can be pre-ordered and pre-saved now. The live single of “Dreams” is available now digitally, and can be found here.
