Splitting up only made the Jonas Brothers’ reunion even sweeter
You don’t need to be in a band to know that it can be rough on personal relationships. There are countless stories of band breakups, groups falling apart because of differences in opinion, ambition or just incompatible personalities.
- "Wings"
- "Montana Sky"
- "Vacation Eyes"
- "Year 3000"
- "Waffle House"
You also don’t need to have siblings to know that sibling relationships can be incredibly intense. So, when you put those two dynamics together, it’s kind of a miracle that the Jonas Brothers are still making records.
And, as you’ll hear today, they’re getting along great. The Jonas Brothers were ubiquitous in popular culture in the early aughts, partly due to their affiliation with Disney. They sang, they acted, they were nominated for a Grammy: They were a legit sensation. Think crying 13-year-old girls swarming their limousines.
In 2013, they made those same fans cry when they announced they were breaking up.
We caught up with Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas during their world tour, called The Tour, to talk about those early days and how breaking up to pursue their own solo projects made their reunion and comeback in 2019 even sweeter.
That 2019 comeback album was called Happiness Begins, and the comeback continues with their sixth and latest studio album, simply titled The Album.
