In addition to having one of the year’s most acclaimed albums, Rat Saw God, XPN Artist to Watch Wednesday now has a documentary on the way, giving a candid view of their life at home in North Carolina as well as onstage around the country.

Titled Rat Bastards of Haw Creek, the doc is directed by filmmaker Zach Romeo, a friend who grew up with the band and who says in the just-released trailer that “there’s something really special about living and creating down here in the south.” Romeo previously teamed up with the band on its 2022 covers album Mowing the Leaves Instead of Piling ’em Up to record a version of  Chris Bell’s “I Am The Cosmos.”

Listen to that and watch the trailer below. Wednesday plays Atlanta’s Highball Festival this weekend before heading out on a European run, and you can find their full roster of tour dates at their website. Revisit Wednesday’s XPoNential Music Festival performance here.
