It’s been ten years since the Irish singer-songwriter Hozier released his debut album and blew listeners away with the breakout hit “Take Me to Church.” In the decade since, he has consistently proved himself as a poetic lyricist, a stunning singer, and must-see live performer with two great follow ups to his self-titled debut: Wasteland, Baby! and last year’s Unreal Unearth. Today, he added dates to “The Unreal Unearth Tour” – his biggest North American tour so far. On May 25th, he will perform at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey. In 2023, he performed twice in Philly: at the expansive Mann Center in September, preceded by a pop-up at the more intimate World Cafe Live in May. Both sold out before his latest album had even been released.
Hozier is a longtime WXPN favorite, previously performing at NON-COMM in 2014 and XPN Fest in 2019. Prepare for his Camden concert by listening to his 2023 WXPN interview with Dan Reed and listening to his interview with World Cafe’s Raina Douris. Tickets to the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion show go on sale Friday, February 2nd at noon, more information can be found at the WXPN Concert Calendar.
