Juneteenth On The Radio

9 a.m. – Juneteenth Mixtape celebrating the history of Black Americana music

12 p.m. – A Stax-Volt Records lunch with Mike V

2 p.m. – WC featuring an interview and performance from Kamasi Washington

6 p.m. – Highs in the (Funky) 70s with Dan Reed

8 p.m. – 10 p.m. – A teo-hour special episode of Culture Cypher Radio with John Morrison

10 p.m. – midnight – 76 Degrees of Soul with Abdur Rahman – Two hours of handcrafted new and vintage soul

Black Music City

7 p.m. In addition to the on-air programming, we’ll be video web streaming the Black Music City grantee awards ceremony from World Cafe Live here at XPN.org with performances by BMC grantees Owen Brown, Jr., Karen Moore, Amari Johnson, Andrea Spruill, and Maurice Chestnut.
