After spending the Fourth of July at the Artists for Aid benefit concert, Clairo released the final single from her upcoming album Charm. “Nomad,” the track that will open her new album, has a dreamlike, ethereal sound, with lyrics reflecting the classic Clairo melancholy.
“I’m cynical, a mess / I’m touch-starved and shameless,” Clairo sings over soft drums and subtle electronica. The artist’s third album was recorded in New York and was produced by Leon Michels. Though she’s not going on tour, she has two weeklong residencies scheduled, in New York and Los Angeles.
