After years of touring with boygenius, Lucy Dacus is returning to her first project — releasing gorgeous, heartrending music under her own name. Her new album Forever Is A Feeling (her first via Geffen Records) comes out March 28th, and two singles are available now, “Ankles” and “Limerence.”

In the stunning video for “Ankles,” released today, Dacus parades around Paris in a Rodarte gown ushered by special guest star Havana Rose Liu (of Bottoms, No Exit and more). Over lush strings and tender guitar sprinkling, Dacus sings of a sexual fantasy. “So bite me on the shoulder, pull my hair / Pull me by the ankles to the edge of the bed, and take me like you do in your dreams.” She’s never been so forthright about these intimate topics, showing her growth as an artist and maturation of subject matter.

Dacus has also announced two strings of tour dates, the “first shows of my own in over two years,” she notes on Instagram. The first dates reflect the romanticism associated with the album rollout; she’s playing The Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, the Driehaus Museum in Chicago, the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, and a secret location in Los Angeles.

And then come April, Dacus will be in Philly, with her first show of the Forever Is A Feeling tour at The Met on the 16th. Tickets are available at the XPN Concerts and Events page.
