Hard-working Philly rock four-piece Mo Lowda & The Humble have built their rep over the past decade through tireless touring, refined songcraft, and increasingly more powerful production work. This week, the band announced its fifth LP, Tailing The Ghost, will release in June, with a monster year on the road to follow, culminating in a hometown headlining show at Union Transfer on November 22nd.
With the news comes new music in the form of “Canary,” a shimmering rock blockbuster with a music video by animator Taras Merenkov. Lead singer Jordan Caiola says in a press release that the song and its undercurrent of romance “focuses on the struggle of allowing oneself to fully open up, let it naturally unfold & trust the trajectory–something the narrator has previously (unsuccessfully) grappled with.”
As far as the full album goes, multi-instrumentalist Jeff Lucci says “more spontaneity, gut and sense of self assurance” was involved than in the past, describing the process as very in-the-moment and full of camaraderie.
