Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon chats ‘SABLE, fABLE’ on the WXPN midday show
Vernon’s fifth studio album as Bon Iver comes out on April 11th.
We’re a couple weeks away from SABLE, fABLE, the soul-dipped fifth studio LP from shape-shifting modern pop artist Bon Iver. Ahead of the release, the person behind the project — singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Justin Vernon — called up the WXPN midday show to chat about the how the project help guide him to a positive personal place.
“It was actually really personally healthy in general,” Vernon says. “Putting these songs together actually helped me through some hard times, and helped me understand some hard lessons. That’s the whole fable part of it, you know? It’s like taking some things that happened in life and trying to process them, that’s how I do it, I do it with songs. And in that way it’s very personal.”
