Hamilton Leithauser gives ‘This Side of the Island’ a Free At Noon showcase
The lead vocalist of The Walkmen brings his latest solo outing to Ardmore for a Free At Noon on the road.
After winding down a successful reunion run with his revered aughties indie rock band The Walkmen, singer-songwriter Hamilton Leithauser went right back and made a new solo record. This Side of the Island, his fifth album, came out in March on Glassnote Records, and finds him in collaboration with both his wife, Anna Stumpf, and Aaron Dessner of The National, on a set of dreamlike, contemplative pop/rock songs.
Leithauser showcased eight of the record’s nine songs Friday May 16th at Ardmore Music Hall for a Free At Noon on the road.
