When you’re playing on a team, you have to be adaptable. You have to read the signals, stay aware of your surroundings, find the openings and cover for your teammates.

It might be a bit like playing in the band Black Country, New Road. The English band is made up of six extremely talented musicians who create complex arrangements by working together.

That dynamic was tested in 2022, when the band’s frontman, Isaac Wood, stepped down and left the band. In this session, bandmembers Lewis Evans and Charlie Wayne join us to talk about how the band adapted to the lineup change and how their sound has evolved on their latest studio album, Forever Howlong.
