From the heart of Manitoba, Canada, to the soul of Southern Louisiana, World Cafe welcomes Andrina Turenne to today’s Acadiana Music Showcase.

Turenne first connected with Lafayette, La., decades ago as a member of Chic Gamine, while performing at the beloved Festival International de Louisiane, the largest free international music festival in the country.

Over the years, she’s built a connection to Lafayette, returning each year to perform her original French compositions, many of which are inspired by Louisana’s traditional music. She’s also released two solo albums, including 2024’s Je suis un arbre.
