Acadiana Music Showcase: The Blue Monday Allstars

The Blue Monday Allstars
Every month, in partnership with our friends at KRVS in Lafayette, La., World Cafe presents the Acadiana Music Showcase, which puts a spotlight on the best of Southern Louisiana’s rich and diverse musical scene.
Today, we’re joined by the Blue Monday Allstars, a musical ensemble of seasoned Louisiana musicians who perform a monthly jam. The band is also part of the Blue Monday Mission, a community initiative organized by the nonprofit Love of People to support aging, retired and elderly musicians in the Acadiana region.
The collective, which just celebrated their 10th anniversary, features Lee Allen Zeno on bass, Steve Adams on drums, Tony Goulas on guitar and Gee Scott on keys. In today’s mini-concert, they play some classic blues tunes from Albert Collins and Albert King.
