Amy Grant returns with ‘The Me That Remains’

Amy Grant
When you think of Amy Grant, maybe the first thing that comes to mind is her No. 1 hit, “Baby, Baby,” or her status as the face of Christian pop in the ’80s and ’90s. But Grant has been reflecting on her past — who she was, who she became and what gets left behind along the way.
Grant joins us on World Cafe to talk about her first album of original material in 13 years, The Me That Remains. She wrote it in the aftermath of a serious bike accident that left her with a head injury and a lengthy recovery. Grant talks about what pulled her away from her charity work and ultimately brought her back into the studio with Nashville legend Mac McAnally.
We also talk about a eulogy she wrote for her younger self.
