Fleet Foxes
Where They’re From: Seattle, WA
Who They Are: Seattle alt-folk band Fleet Foxes took the industry by surprise when they released their first EP Sun Giant in 2008. Known for their vast vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics, the band’s music is enchanting, and with no direct religious implication, Fleet Foxes sounds as if they’re playing to the heavens in a Medieval cathedral. After a six-year hiatus, Fleet Foxes returned in 2017 with the highly-anticipated album Crack-Up and followed it with 2021’s Shore, which sounded more grounded but undeniably spiritual. Father John Misty’s Josh Tillman played drums with the Fleet Foxes in their early days, and left after promoting 2011’s Helplessness Blues to pursue his solo career.
