Langhorne Slim on his latest album, ‘The Dreamin’ Kind’

Langhorne Slim is the kind of artist who always seems to be opening new creative doors in a quest to find the most authentic kind of feeling.

A few years ago, when he was on World Cafe, Slim talked about how sobriety helped reignite his creativity. Since then, he’s become a dad for the first time, and today, he joins us to talk about how that experience has reshaped his perspective and his songwriting.

But that’s not all. He’s also exploring new sonic territory on his latest album, The Dreamin’ Kind. To make it, he worked with members of Greta Van Fleet, and as you might expect, it leans into that rock and roll sound while still keeping the raw, personal songwriting he’s known for.
