Previous XPNFest headliners Wednesday follow up their acclaimed Rat Saw God with Bleeds, another addictive set of Karly Hartzman’s congealed love songs. New York trio Nation of Language deliver jittery, fractured electropop on Dance Called Memory; they celebrate with a three-night residency in their hometown with each member taking a spotlight turn. Fresh off a 30^th anniversary celebration of Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, acclaimed songwriter Sarah McLachlan presents Better Broken, her first collection of new originals in over a decade. A new collaboration between Kate Mattison of 79.5 and Mark Everett of EELS, Boo Boos’ Young Love is a playful and occasionally caustic twist on the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazelwood model.

A week after making their Free at Noon debut, The Happy Fits erupt in a fizzy headrush of peppy anthems on Lovesick. Kentucky-rooted musician Joan Shelley traverses generations of Appalachian folk tradition on Real Warmth. One of our 2025 Artists to Watch, Lola Young addresses her viral ascendancy with brash attitude and self-effacing wit on her third LP, I’m Only Fucking Myself. The original soundtrack to Joachim Rønning’s TRON: Ares serves as the first full-length by Nine Inch Nails in five years;  Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross concoct a claustrophobic soundscape to life on the Grid.
