WXPN - Echoes
Echoes
Echoes brings together a wide array of styles, from acoustic to electronic, jazz to space music, the avant-garde to rock. Its sound is cross-cultural and trans-millennial, merging cultures and forms, technology and tradition, the ancient past and the possible future.
In addition to the many recordings heard on Echoes, there are interview features with popular modern musicians including Brian Eno, Moby, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, and Enya, as well as composers such as Laurie Anderson, Steve Roach, and The Orb.
Exclusive “Living Room Concerts” are live performances recorded in musicians’ homes or studios and broadcasted on Echoes. Previous performers include Pat Metheny, Yo-Yo Ma, Dead Can Dance, Ólafur Arnalds, Air, Loreena McKennitt, and many more.
