Bill Callahan joins host Stephen Kallao

Bill Callahan, who used to perform under the band name Smog, has a new album called Gold Record. The new songs are about folks from all walks of life, including a limo driver, a guy approaching middle age, and a Ry Cooder superfan. Today, we’ll find out how Callahan inhabits these characters, as well as what it was like to collaborate with Bonnie Prince Billy on a Cat Stevens cover. Plus, he shares a live performance from his home in Austin, Texas.
