John Morrison’s Culture Corner with host Raina Douris

As we enter February and begin celebrating Black History Month, World Cafe correspondent John Morrison is taking a deep dive in to some of the earliest Black Innovators of Rock & Roll every week! Starting all the way back to the 1950’s, he explores what some regard as the First ever Rock and Roll song, explaining how, “the DNA of a million early Rock and Roll tunes are in this song.” We’ll then celebrate one of the most important innovators of early Rock, Jimi Hendrix.
