Encore: Black Thought joins host Raina Douris

Tariq Trotter – a.k.a. Black Thought – was born at the same time that hip hop was emerging, and the rapper grew up to be the lead MC and co-founder of The Roots, along with drummer Questlove. Now, the Roots are the house band on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. In 2021, Black Thought completed a trilogy of solo albums with the latest, called Streams of Thought Vol. 3: Cane & Abel. He joins host Raina Douris to talk about his journey with The Roots and his own evolution as an artist.
