Kiltro joins host Stephen Kallao

Kiltro brings together the Chilean and American roots of band leader Chris Bowers Castillo. On the World Cafe, he talks about how he grew up going back and forth between the two countries, eventually settling in Chile for a few years and becoming a tour guide. His latest album has a song that references the Chilean economic protests, which he watched from the US during the pandemic. He shares that and more from Kiltro’s latest album, Underbelly.
