Kashus Culpepper joins host Raina Douris

In 2020, Kashus Culpepper was in the Navy, on deployment to Spain. That’s where he first picked up the guitar. In just a handful of years, he’s gone from playing requests for his fellow service men to booking a tour opening amphitheater shows for Jelly Roll. On the World Cafe, Kashus talks about his rise, his roots, and he performs songs from his debut album, Act 1, live.
