Encore: Mark Reeder, The Vegetable Orchestra join host Raina Douris
This week, World Cafe is on Spring Break! We’ll revisit some of the most memorable sessions from the “Sense Of Place” series around the world. First, hear the incredible story of Mark Reeder, who smuggled punk across the Berlin Wall in the ‘80s, and find out the role music played after the wall fell. Then, we head to Vienna, the home of classical music, where a group of artists have found a way to make the orchestra feel brand new – It’s The Vegetable Orchestra, performing live with their carrot flutes and leek violins.
