Lido Pimienta mini-concert with host Stephen Kallao

When Lido Pimienta was 19, she left Colombia and moved to Canada to pursue her music. She’s now a Grammy-nominated and Polaris Prize-winning artist with a remarkable stage presence. After all her successes, her latest album, Miss Colombia, sees Lido taking inspiration from her birthplace – She calls the record a “cynical love letter” to her home country. On the next World Cafe, we’ll hear a special mini-concert of some of her latest songs recorded live in Philadelphia for the Cafe’s 30th anniversary celebration.
