In the late 70s, Spain was emerging from under the decades-long Francoist dictatorship. The end of repressive censorship led to an explosion of creativity in Madrid and a music, arts and film scene now known as La Movida Madrileña. On the World Cafe, we talk to Servando Carballar and Marta Cervera – two members of the band Aviador Dro, one of the key bands to emerge from La Movida – for our Sense of Place: Madrid series.
